When I logged in here, Chrome said I had 25 compromised passwords, including MajorGeeks.com.
    Is that legit?

Google has added a password checking function to Chrome. Once of the things it apparently does it check your passwords against those harvested in various data breeches on the internet and warns you if some have been found. Generally, it's a good idea to change any passwords that may have been harvested, ESPECIALLY if they are re-used on multiple accounts.
