    Greetings.
Firefox was taking a minute to open on first startup. Downloaded Firetune, closed Computer and restarted - Firefox then took 30 seconds to open. Restarted computer today and FF took 50 seconds to open. Do I need to do something to make sure Firetune is always on - like putting it in the Startup folder?
    Thanks for help
    Geoff

    Hi

Firetune just tweaks the internal settings of Firefox and adds/tweaks the about:config settings, its a once only tweak, so likely your slow start is caused by something else, try running Firefox in its Safe Mode (found in Start > All Programs > Firefox folder) if this opens quickly then check all your add-ons as one will be cauing the problem.

Thanks Halo. Firefox opened in a couple of seconds on safe mode. Guess I'd better do some testing of add-ons.

Tests weren't definitive, but I think it might have been a Roboform toolbar thingy I had in Firefox add-ins. Down to about 15 secs startup now. Thanks for pointing me in teh right direction, Halo.
