Does Speedfan Need To Start At Bootup?

I just recently discovered Speedfan, which has been amazing. It not only allowed me to record audio without my case fans being so dang noisy, but it just made my office a lot more peaceful. I use the settings that allow me to set the overall power to between 25-50%, and then does the trick.

However, I'm wondering, does this need to auto-start with Windows to work? When I open the app, the settings are typically reset, but the fan is still pretty quiet (based on the last setting). Is it imprinting the settings into the hardware/bios somehow, so the software app itself doesn't need to load every time? Or should I throw this in my Startup folder so it always boots up?

If you made any changes in the speedfan software then you need to make the software to startup when you boot your system, if not the changes won't take effect and runs default settings. But if the fan speed can be controlled by bios, then you can set it here, and it will run the setting every time you boot up the system, but the fan has to be plugged in to the motherboard.
