    hello everyone,
i am having the same problem that majibu used to have:
when i am in a wired connection with my router i get download speeds of 300 KB/s but when in wireless (same pc and same router) the download speed is about 64 KB/s, i tried almost everthing (almost because maybe you have new solutions :p), all the drivers are up-to-date.

    please i need help!

    thank you very much,
    chacho.:)

    Hi

Always best to start a new thread on an issue as they maybe similar issues but with different outcomes as that thread is 2yrs old. Also old threads many pass over, so you may not have gotten a reply... so I have moved your question to its own thread.

for reference the majibu thread is this one http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=80899

A lot of factors enter into it, for example there is the B and G standards, B being slower and older.

On my LAN the wireless is faster, but that is likely because I have a lot of hardware, hubs, wireless routers, coaxial (as in 50 ohm) cables, you name it. My network wasn't planned exactly, it just grew, but it is adaquate for my needs.

In all cases I get over 100K/sec, unless I'm connected to a slow website. Wireless does not have to be slow.
