Does XP SP 2 need 1a?

    That is my question...got 2 ready to install...do I need 1a first?

    also I have a HP and it says I need a patch for 1a but I can't get to a page that has it. Keep getting cannot display page error.

    anyone got any answers for me?

    Most of M$ service packs contain previous sp and patches. That's why they end up being enormous (unless your an Oracle guru, of which the readme files take up a couple of CD's for just one patch, you consider them enormous). Makes it quite easy though, as you only need the latest and greatest. Everything is rolled up into one.
