If I have to reformat my XP PRO install and I have the XP SP2 CD -do I need to install SP1 before upgrading to SP2?
    Thanks.

All you need is xp & sp2. Try slipstreaming for a one of install of both. Search google.

Thanks -heard of Slipstreaming...but never tried it. -is it easy? -Would I need to merge my XP Pro Install and all updates(like Service Packs) via a burning proggie like nero? -if 'yes' will Nero be able to rip my (completely legal ...let me say again: COMPLETELY LEGAL) version of XP Pro?
-or am I missing the point of slipstreaming?

[pardon my NOT using Google as I'm on my parents' PC which is on a 56k (more like 28k) connection.]
    Cheers,

There is a GUI program called nLite that makes it very easy to do. It makes the ISO and all you have to do is burn it. It can also remove some modules that you may not want. Worked well for me.
