I think it's just 1 liners like Confucius Says type of deal, maybe prompting someone to say something like "He who has everything, has nothing" and other wierd sayings that make no sense.

Why don't we turn it into a "Sayings that make no sense" thread?

"Oh, that's cheap at half the price"

I hear this a lot and it angers me terribly, it makes no sense and .... IT'S WRONG!!!!

The saying is "Oh that's cheap at twice the price"

Of course it would be cheap at half the price because it would half the price!... however if the price was cheap at TWICE the price then in your own mind you are effectively getting it for HALF price!........Good Day sir..... I Said Good DAY!
