Dont get Firefox 0.9!

The official release is out, but it feels like it should still be in alpha. it uninstalls all extentions, and has constant xml errors when browsing. the new theme is horrible, and no exstentions or themes work so far. i tried it, and eventually just went back to 0.8, this release is far from ready.http://majorgeeks.com/vb/images/smilies/mad.gif

 

I also dislike the new theme. It isn't fully compatable with some of the more popular extentions (like adblock), and it's still buggy. It should still be in the RC stages.

Using Firefox 0.9 Final myself, only minor problems here with getting old extensions working.

If one read the release notes, then they say that a new theme-manager and a new extensions manager has been included. This means that all extension and themes has to be upgraded to work with the new managers. So when upgrading to 0.9 then all old themes will not work, and old extensions will become disabled.

One can try to re-enable old extension in the extension-manager until an updated version of the extension is available. (Just right-click the extension in the extension manager).
In case one cannot see the old extension in the extension-manager, then one can try this extension to make them appear (And allow you to configure them).

In case one dislike the new theme then one can get the old theme back here or if one likes the original Mozilla Modern Theme (my favorite), then one can find the modern theme for firefox here. Other Firefox 0.9 compatible Themes can also be found.

For those who use Firefox already, then I recommend upgrading to Firefox 0.9, as it will help in testing Firefox, so it will become an even better product when ver. 1.0 is released.
