Just as I was rushing to a meeting, my friend dropped off her computer for me to fix two problems.

1- the USB ports or mouse keeps quiting
2- her malware software wont stay on.

When I returned, I turned her computer on. But, she forgot to leave me her password to log in.
    :(
    However, there was a guest log-in. :)
I used it and downloaded and installed the patched firefox. 3.09

So I tried downloading Cain and Abel. It did but would not let me run it.
    :banghead

She will be back tonight, expecting it to be fixed.
    :-o

    Am I out of luck?

If you do not have a password for the machine, then you cannot fix it.

Also, it is poor security and bad practice to get any user's password. It is much better to have the user create you a different admin account.

Great idea, I will have her do that.

I will make that a new policy from now on.

    Thanks,
