dont know if its hardware or software "always running low on resources

    i dont know why but i am always running low on resources it does not matter what i am doing i know for a fact that my pc is virus, spyware/adware free i am thinking maybe its norton anti-virus2001 making this happen but its the only one i am going to use untell i updated to XP and that will be sometime this week or next. but untel thin i want to try and fix this so i can keep playing my games and stuff untel i get xp. and does anyone know what anti-virus i can get that will work well with xp? do yall think i might run into the same problem when i update to xp? spec's below

    MOBO - ASUS P4S8X-X
    Pro - P4 Celeron2.0 running at 2.7ghz
    video - ATI 9200 (NEW)
    ram - 512mb dual channel pc3200
    HDD - WD 40gig

    AVG or Avast will work well on XP... I did a re-install of a PC over the wekend and was impressed with Avast ( nearly dropped my coffee when a voice said you have updates!!! )

    Also this PC was suffering from cronic slowness.. near impossible to do anything on it.. funny you should mention Norton 2001 as thats what was on this PC and I did notice that it was norton that was making the boot time to a usable GUI taking 5 minutes+

    I know there as some updates for norton as it has issues with XP SP2 until you update.... but as yours is an older version and more upto date AV is a wise idea.

    halo thanks for the info lol and bazza when i seem how little your bazza was at the end of your post it made me laugh :D and thanks for the link i will try it out asap at 1800hours eastern time i will be back to report

    back sooner thin i thought Process Explorer showed nothing out of the ordnary unless you count norton not useing nothing haha
