Hand built machine running great until about 2 weeks ago. Some web sites, not all, will display a "POP-UP" that I need 'Adobe Flash Player Installer' so I follow the instructions. It's Adobe so I click to install; the computer stops for 10 to 20 seconds, then pops up "Failed to Install". I click OK, the POP-UP goes away and leaves a blank spot on the monitor, another few seconds and the original pop-up reappears. I click "Do not Install" and the pop-up goes away and the computer completes loading what I started. I first noticed this attempting to bring up Intellicast.com to check for tornado activity in the area. Today I noticed it when I came to your site [that really shocked me]. This machine is runing XP Pro with latest updates, Firefox is my browser and it works good. I have followed all advice to the letter from Adobe. It does not happen off line nor all sites. I have run AVG7, also up dated, and nothing was found. If you have any ideas I sure would like to hear them. I'm no stranger to computers - - no Guru either. Thanks

Thanks Cpl. That did not fix it, still get it on your site. I did just as the instructions said; downloaded a new copy (from your site), went off line, deleted the old copy and installed the new one, came directly back to your site and had to wait on two occasions before I got back here. When it hangs up the bar above the start button will display "contacting tribalfusion" [that's paraphrased, I didnot write it down], the curser and the hourglass will be present till the popup "failed to install" comes up. When I click the "OK" the popup goes away and nothing fill its place for a few seconds. Still Got me confused, but I'm still learning. Any and all help is appreciated.

Adobe doesn't tell you (it took me an hour to figure out why my install kept failing) that you must remove the older version using the Adobe uninstaller before the newer version will install. It would be so simple if they'd just put a sentence on the install page, informing everyone of the change. <sigh>

Welll, thank you all for the assist. I guess I'm gettting too old and very short on patience. I got tired of playing with it so I did a complete reinstall of XP and now there is no more problem. Thanks again for the assist I'll be keeping in touch.
