DOOM 3 Doomed me

Hey Gamers,The issue is that whenever I try to play Doom 3 game, it starts and goes to DOOM 3 main menu, but when I click on new game option...it loads for some time and then exits to main menu, NO errors or anythingconfused, just loads and exits to main menu.....hey game geeks do you have any solution...I have tried each and every thing...automatic install , manual install etc....all the game keys and everything are perfect but it just does not start....I have gone to srs test lab site to check my PC for game recommendations to play that game ...it shows tht it runs flawlessly....Please help..confused.My specs are

Intel 915GAG,
NVidia 8500GT[ 256 MB ],
512MB RAM,
80GB HDD.:hyper

 

possibly a driver issue with the new DX10 cards but thats just a shot in the dark, i honestly dont know for sure

are u on Vista or XP?

You might have to disable any "Virtual CD/DVD-drives". The copy-protect loaders these days, actively seek out any virtual drives and refuse to continue if one is detected. This is an effort to prevent a disc image from being created, thus fooling the copy protection.

 

I have alcohol 120% software installed......so is there any other solution??

 

ah then that's probably it...though i dont know a fix unfortunately. can you just disable the virtual drive? i havent had much experience with 120%

 

Yes close and exit alcohol 120% Making sure you kill the taskbar icon too.

 

why havent any of u said update the game?! plus, why get a 8500? its worth the extra 100 for the 8600 or 8800.

 

Well the place where I live is India...and we dont give much preference to graphic card dude....so its very difficult to get those cards :cry
