when I worked at EB we'd get the games a few days early.. sometimes a week early, but we couldn't put them on the shelves until the desired date. Infact, what this person is doing is contractually illegal.

 

Yeah he probably stole it from where he works or something, figuring he could get a lot of money. But I don't think thats going to happen since ebay monitors high bidding items and I think when they see this they won't allow them to follow through on the transaction. I mean its one thing to steal it, but to then try to sell it over the internet for millions to see? C'mon now its almost a guarentee hes going to get caught.

 

Well, the game came out early in Wisconsin. Since the seller's located in Minnesota, he probably went over to Wisconsin and bought it.

 

Why the hell did it come out early in Wisconsin? is that where they developed it or something? that isn't fair! lol

 

I heard some one got a BETA copy and released it on the internet.
The makers of DOOM 3 were getting emails from people saying that there were allot of glitches in the game, they did not care much because they knew people were still gonna buy the game even if they played the stolen version.
And the box, hah, i can get one of those too, but there is nothing in it, it's a display from EB GAMES.

 

usually those dates are pretty static.. I find it odd that one area had dibs on early release..

 

Yeah, and I went to www.gamespot.com and they would have had a review for it already or at least some information on it no matter where it would get released. None of the game review sites had things posted about it being released early in one state. Where did you hear about it being released there?

 

Heh, the game's been out over here for a few weeks.

We often get games before the U.S. for some reason.

 

The guy that won didn't follow through on the deal. His feedback reflects that. I bet the seller is quite upset now. What can he do? Any legal ramifications?

 

now that i think about it, this really could be doom 3. i mean, is best buy in the UK cuse didn't they release it in the UK like a week earlier?

honestly, if thats an accurate price, some people need to be removed from their inhereitance. i cant begin to fathom the reasoning behind spending that much on a game worth $50.

 

whats great is by the time they got the package the game would already be in stores

US $20,000,100.00.........Only a small price to pay to discover that you are a wombat!!!!!!!!!,To think that someone might throw that (or anything remotely near that) type of cash @ you for a copy of a PC game, Well i live near Sydney Australia, And i own a sweet little thing called "The Sydney Harbour Bridge" & If you have the correct freight-ya can have it for a song................
