doom 3 wont play :(

hi. i cant start up doom 3. it gives me this "abnormal program termination" then another error that repeats 3 times.

1. i searched the forums. i didn't exactly know what to search for, so i tried a couple things. NoThInG.

2. i guess its too late to help this...

system specs: NOTE: dont give me a lecture "UR COMP suXX0rS TOO MUCH TO PLAY DIS GAYM" because ive defied system "requirements" before, and did fine.

Primary ATI Slave: 19.1gb HDD NTFS formatted
Secondary ATI Master: 16xDVD read, 32xCDRom read DVD drive

is that enough system specs? of course it is. half of it cant possibly be my problem though.

doom and doom 2 were uber DOS, and now to be stopped by this...
i tried the doom3 demo too, it did the same thing...

 

i had the same problem what i did to fix it was reinstall the game and dont patch it up right away run the game and make sure it works ok? and if it works ok thin patch it up and have a go because i am thinking its a patch problem

no as i said, the downloadable demo did the same thing.
i did upgrade to 1.3 patch tho...

 

i used to have the same problem when using 2 different brand names of ram... is this the only game (not counting old ones) that does this to u? if it does then you might wanna consider that your ram is not... perfect...BUT i might be completely wrong.. just a question, what settings do u play doom3 on?

 

i dont play it on any settings because the game doesnt even start up...
and my ram is both the same brand name. i got both at the same time, same place.
