Dos Box Keymapping problem

I received a new laptop for Christmas with windows 7. I am a retro gamers so I use Dos Box quite a bit. Problem is DosBox recognizes my "\" key as my "]" key... so far as I can tell there is no forward slash on my keyboard according to dosbox. I looked at the keymapping editor, but it appears you still need the \ to use it, FAIL.

Well, you're a better man than I, Gunga Din! I have had no luck installing DOSBox on my W7, that's why I keep XP on an older machine.

Just so that I can add something to this thread instead of just whining, if you like the Sierra games like King's Quest or Quest for Glory, AGDInteractive have freely remade KQ1 and 2 and QfG2 in EVGA with some of their excellent plot rewriting in KQ2! Free for the download and make sure to get the music and sound packs too! Enjoy.
