If you have created a bootable ms dosk disk, via the format command (or through the "right click on "a:" drive and format with the options of "Create an MS-Dos Startup Disk"), then copied the bios files to the floppy disk (with the bios executable), then you should just stick the "floppy" disk into your computer, then reboot to the "A:" drive.

What bios files do I need to copy to the disk?

The files you downloaded from the internet. Usually they are in a compressed format. Just uncompress them, the copy them to the floppy.

Also, do you have the firmware installer? Usually it is a firmware file and a firmware installer application. Not always, but usually.

The .exe file is the file you'll need to run at the command prompt. The readme file is just information, it will probably tell you how to use the other files. The last file is probably a .bin file. That is the flash file.

All you have to do is create a dos boot disk, put both those files on there, boot with the disk and at the A:\ prompt type: "flash.exe filename.bin" but replace those filenames with the actual files that are on the disk.

it tells me at the web site to do this.1. Extract the file and Copy DVFLASH.exe and 260d.bin to the destination folder.
    2. Reboot your PC under real DOS mode and enter the target folder.
    3. Execute "DVFLASH_260d.bin". This does not help me

Do you have a Boot disk that will get you to dos? A Win98 setup disk? If not, you can get one here. http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/~huey/Downloads/boot98se.exe

Run that file to create a boot disk, then copy the 2 flash files to it. Then when the PC boots up into dos mode it will show a command prompt ("A:\>"). Then you need to type "DVFLASH 260d.bin".

If you don't understand a step, you're going to need to be clearer about what it is.

Also, what OS is on your system. If it is xp, you can make a boot disk with the built in format utility from explorer.
