    :eek: Hi I have a strange question is it possible to upgrade dos on a computer runing 98nd . this is all windows designed but the years are wrong
    the dos upgrade is for win 3 or os/2 Is this possible do, :confused: do I want to do this

    Dos is as upgraded as it gets in Windows 98SE.

    Hi cranky
    Doing a DOS upgrade on your Win98 disk drive will kill your Win98 installation. If you've got an old application that requires a certain version of DOS then use the setver.exe command that commes with Win98. The syntax is:
    setver program n.nn
    example: setver c:\oldprog\oldprog.exe 5.00
    This tells win98 to lie to oldprog.exe that the DOS version is DOS 5.00. I hope that helps. :)
