Downlads Corrupt

    Hi all I have a Hp Compaq nx8220 running xp pro avg free anti virus and windows firewall when ever I try to download a .exe .zip or .rar they come up as corrupt but only if I am using the cable lan not my wireless the wireless works fine but I cant use the wireless all the time as I use my laptop in net cafes and such with no wlan if you have any Ideas I would be grateful

    I'd check for network card driver updates.

    I was wondering could the problem be the fact that I have my computer hooked up to a docking station that has a network port in the back even though when I have the laptop mobile it still has corruptions
