    Hi and Welcome

Which windows version are you trying to install this software on and is it fully upto date with all service packs, also are you logged on as admin to install if its Win NT, 2000, XP or Vista?

As well as the Ox80040702 error note what came after it as in "failure to load XXXXX" where XXXXX is an application name?

Did you when clicking the download choose RUN or Save, if Run, then click Save to save it to your hard drive then run from there.

If you are running Vista its very very likely that this application is not compatible so please let us know if this is the case and we can suggest an alternative as PowerQuest Drive Image is old and not supported these days since being bought out by Symantec.

About the only thing I can find is a press release
    http://www.symantec.com/press/powerquest/pq042302.html
in which the price quoted was $70. (I'm not even sure if Symantec will sell you a key for the program to get it to work).
For $70, you can find a newer product that will work on XP and Vista.

Thank you for the reply. I first took the software from a disk that had a trial version on it. Then I came to your website and downloaded what I thought was the full version. However, after clicking to reinstall it several times, I am now receiving a message that the trial version has expired.

I am using XP Pro and the software was saved to the hard disk first before installing. Can you reccomend a more up to date compatible software?

    Hi

Cheers on the feedback to that application, we may have to de-list it if the trial period has now ended and as I mentioned the application is not being developed.

To your question on alternatives, my favorite application to backup and Image/Ghost a hard drive is Acronis True Image ( 15 day trial ) this is an easy application to use and well worth the expense.

A free alternative is Drive Image XML
