From what I hear....Fresh download is a fairly decent program.

But, what works for others, may not work for you. I'd try them all. But, like I said above, more people say fresh download works the best.

I'm guessing you are on dial-up.....

I would use Leechget as Halo suggested since you have dialup ;) and also it isnt that bad of a download manager.

any of them are fine, I have one PC with Leechget on ( 1 snag with Leechget is that it will only allow 1 concurrent download at a time unless you purchase pro, but as your on Dialup I doubt you will start more than 1 download at a time )

and other PC has Download Express which I forgot to include http://www.majorgeeks.com/Download_Express_d449.html all of them do a similar job so its what suits you best, try a few of them out.

@ Star... I agree but even on broadband its helpful to have a DL manager for big files just incase server looses you and the DL stops.. with a DL manager you can resume to save having to start over.

IMX, GetRight is the best download manager.

Currently, I use the download manager built in to Firefox with the Download Manager Tweak extention.

I like getright some of the features I really like, auto download, segmented download for slow servers, priority downloads "most important first",mirror search, download schedule, speed limit,I'm sure many of the others have similar but I have never used any other for IE or needed one. :)

Even if you have broadband its great you can set a load of demos ect downloading, one after the other,so when you get to your comp there will definitely be something, downloaded to play around on and a file download in progress, instead of starting them all at once and having nothing finished :)
or just starting one and wasting your bandwidth

Also! Do you know any software that will make my internet connection faster? The software should be safe, ok?
