download sound

    my college classes use Tegrity to record classes so I can watch them later via http://www.tegrity.com/
    thru my school

    I get sound and I want to download the sound so I can play the lectures in my car via MP3s

    is there a free sound recorder I can use on my computer to record the lecture while in the class OR as I play the class session back and then save it on my MP3 player to play in my car?
