Download SP2 in 14 minutes?

I found this suggestion on MSoft's newsgroup help. I will throw it out for the wizards here to hash out amongst themselves to see if it's a worthy shortcut. If it is, it will save a lot of time on the download. (Myself, I'm going to wait for the free CD and install it that way).

Regarding the automatic update for SP2

Pointless post from Microsft really.

SP2 is 260Mb~ in Size, this update contains all updates, even if you dont use them. This can take anything from 15min to 2hours on a cable or DSL link, on 56k it will take 10-20hours.

SP2 on Windows update will only be about 85-95Mb if your system is update, as it only downloads the updates you will require. Obviously this is 60% smaller, thus will download quicker.

Also it depends on the server speed, MS servers are normally fairly slow due to the heavy traffic.Hope that clears it up.
