downloaded .dll files

Without knowing the full picture of what you are trying to do, fix, what Windows Version, what Game/Software you are trying to fix, its a tad difficult to offer you some assistance,

If when copying the .dlls and the system tells you you already have them then your in the right folder location, you may however need to activate the said .dll to make it work.

to do this you goto Start > Run and type in regsrv32 followed by the dlls name and hit enter eg. regsvr32 Mydll.dll ( note the space between the 2 an M )

 

Have you tried re-installing the game?
If so did it work or where you given errors, if so what were the errors?

Did you try activating the .dlls you had downloaded and copied as I mentioned above?

Also what tells you to put them into the windows/system directory, windows XP itself or something you read in order to fix your issue, if so you have link to the info?

 

How to actvate a dll, I posted in my original post but if you have the dll in the correct loaction then,

Click Start > Run > and type regsvr32 mss32.dll and hit enter, you should get a infomation box that tells you its activated.
