After several unsuccessful attempts to rid my pc of Downloader.PF I am here to ask for help with this. My pc is running WinXP Home edition. The downloader was found but not elimintated when I used Panda to scan my system. I have turned off the System Recover and run several scans but cannot get rid of it. Can anyone help?
    Thanks

Please follow all the steps in this Sticky thread < READ ME FIRST: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal > If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better.

Then after running the above run these too:
    http://www.windowsecurity.com/trojanscan/
http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/ <--- select Auto Clean and the click Scan My PC
    http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/licence.php
    http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4063.html

After all that let me know where you stand. Keep track of what is foun during these procedures and let me know too. Also if there are any problems running these items or they have trouble fixing anything they find, let me know that too (make sure you report what the name of the file is and where it is located. )

    well...
he was luckier than i am...
i'm french, but normally i think i did all well !

in fact there is one thing that didn't work : when i boot in safe mod, i don't have my internet connection, even if if take the networking support one. thus, i did the trend micro and symantec 'scan in normal mod.
In fact, during all the scans that i had to perform durind the procedure, sometimes it was said i had nothing, and sometime that i had something, but never it was said that it was removed.

When i do a scan from panda software, it still says that i have it.. the trojan downloader.pf ... grrr !
don't know what to do !!!
    please help me :(
