I am aware of what you guys were discussing earlier in the week, about the servers possibly being overloaded when everybody goes for it, but....I was downloading it and now it has been frozen on 91% done, for hours and hours...and I would hate to have to start over!!

    Anyone got any suggestions??

Don't guess anybody else has experienced it...or maybe you can tell me how to cancel out a download and go back and restart it from where it got locked up?? I would hate to have to download the whole 500 and something meg again!! BTW...I just use the download manager that comes built into Firefox.

@ moderators....If you want to move this to a more appropriate forum, please feel free...I just thought it would be a quick question, and I figured it would get a quicker response here, but apparently it might do better elsewhere!?!?

kinda guess you just lost connection at that point ( I really hate it when it happens at 90%+ ) dont know how good the resume feature of FF is but it maybe worth clicking pause then resume... but sadly Roger I think you maybe downloading this one again.

I tend to be either lucky and get a heads up to a server somewhere hosting it before the masses or way a week until the inital hype of downloading a product has subsided a touch.. but I won't be downloading this as my GFX card will have a hernia!!

I have not had a problem, I can download at 100%. I would try to use Internet Explorer and choose another link to see what happens. The servers were terribly bogged down (even the "big boys" pulled this one) but while were still getting a good bit of traffic, they are handling it better now.

Firefox does have a pause/resume capability for downloads. You might try putting it on pause for a while then see if it can reconnect on resume. That's the only way I know to try reconnecting without starting over. Firefox itself shouldn't be an issue. I got it the first night using Firefox. Download speed varied pretty widely, but it stayed connected.

Could be a caching issue, the links expire, so if enough time passes, and your trying to reconnect, the program will get an expired link.
