downloading problem

I have windows 98 secnnd edition. I have downloaded things in the past from major geeks. lately, when I download something, it goes thru the process and at the end of the downloading I get a runtime error. it reads as follows.
program:c:\windows\temp\RARSFXO\BASIC\SETUP:EXE

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

PS. the 2 latest things I tried to download was spyware blaster and avira. However, it was successful and downloading avast.

 

Try some general maintenance (mainly cleaning junk/temp files). Read this:
