    Hi, I have checked many download speed testing sites and my average is about 1.25mbps. However when I download anything on a website, I would be limited to 160kbps. Im not asking to reach my optimum but why only 160kbps? I have Linksys Wrt54g router with speedbooster and enabled DMZ Host IP Address. I have no zonealarm on or firewall. Only nod32. And also disabled windows firewall and routers firewall. The maximum download I can get is 160kbps. confused Can somebody please tell me why I'm not going any faster?

    That is your optimum. The bandwidth speed tests are telling you are hitting 1.25 Megabits per second.

    You are downloading at 160 kilobytes per second.

    1.25Mbps=160KB/s
