over the years i had used a site that just recently shut down for video and audio down loads......i was wandering if any one out there could recomend any safe sites to use?

 

If the site you were using was shut down, odds are pretty good you were illegally downloading your video and audio.

Are you looking for movies? Music? Both? iTunes, Amazon, even Walmart offer those for pretty minimal cost.

Your local library may have downloadable audio books (I have a card to the Sacramento Library and have no idea where it is located at)
