I really really miss being able to drag a link anywhere on the page and having it open it up in a new window. SuperDragNGo used to do this for the previous version of Firefox, but it's not available for 1.0. I've tried other extension, but none that you can just drag anywhere on the page. Does anyone know of an extension that can do this? Also, I want to be able to drag a link to open a new window, but not to jump to that new window. I want to be able to drag many links with still staying on the same original page...it helps a lot with research.

    Thanks so much,
    Stephanie

    hi,

you still can click_R on a link > Open Link in New Window/Tag; it takes the same time.

    regards

When using Firefox you can open a link as a new window/tab by holding down the CTRL (control) key and then clicing on the link. Also if you have a wheel/3rd button type mouse or trackball, using the wheel/3rd button to click on the link would open that link as a new tab. IF it is a Javascipt control pop-up window then it would actually open that page in a new instance of Firefox (would re-open another session of Firefox). Also using the middle mouse button (3rd button/clickable wheel) on a tab would close it.
