Using DeFraggler to benchmark my drive performance.

    C drive is a RAID 0 volume of 2x 120 gig SSDs. 164 MB/s

    D drive is a 7200 RPM 1TB HDD. 133 MB/s

F drive is the newest of the bunch. Another 7200 RPM 1TB HDD.

This last drive clocks in at only 3 MB/s. Drilling down into the specific stats I notice that even though I have repeatedly benchmarked this drive it is reporting a spin-up time of 28000 seconds.

    WTF?

I suspect that there's an issue with the controller chip on the F drive and if it's still under warranty, I'd replace it. Stuff happens. rolleyes

My mind is blown that h the OP is only scoring 164 with two SSDs in Raid 0.

I get 4 times that with just one.

Thanks for the replies. On the RAID, it is RAID 1 -- MY MISTAKE. They're nice SSDs (Samsung 840). I do recall that the cables I'm using had negative reviews on Newegg, some users claiming they were actually SATA2 cables mislabeled as SATA3.
