Drive problem

    Please can someone help me on this, I have (SONY) Laptop to buy but the drive is (BD-ROM) instead on DVD-ROM but i dont know the meaning,i want to find out if it can read and burn dvd plate also,and what is teh difirents

    That's a Blue Ray disc, means high-density/definition(HD). Since it is a 'ROM' then it's a 'read only' drive, no burning of any type possible. You would need something that says RW for (Read-Write) at the end like a 'DVD-R/W'. I think the best thing is to post the exact Sony model here so that folks can take a look for you and maybe suggest something else that'll work for you.
