i'm looking for "the best" app to use for backing up drivers before my next format.

i've had luck with quite a few programs but usually there's a few drivers that gets looked over or left out and most times they're usually some of the more important drivers or drivers that i need to get online.

i've tried most of the free apps and while i am an absolute fan of these developers i'd like to hear from both ends of the spectrum as long as it does what i need it to do

so.. if anyone has had absolute luck with a particular program and willing to share your knowledge, i'd sincerely appreciate any help or suggestions.

it would be a plus if it worked on all versions of windows and 32bit/64bit.

    Thanks.

What brand is the computer? Our last three of 4 computers purchased: Acer (64 bit Win 7) and eMachine (32 bit XP) have a program that allows us to not only burn restore/recovery DVDs but also burn a CD or DVD with the installed programs and drivers. Perhaps your computer also has such a program.

falconattack double driver sounds great and not sure why i haven't tried this one yet but i will definitely give it a try so Thanks for the suggestion!

plodr i have an hp and your suggestion made me think to check settings for the backup/restore software pre-installed but i did not see anything dealing with "driver only" and i've tried the main software before and there's always drivers left out for some reason.

i think double driver will be what i'm gonna try this time.. i know a few directories where drivers are saved so i will put those on a flash drive as well but one particular directory is "blue", the text, so i'm not sure what this means.. a system directory? i don't know so i'm not sure if it'll allow me to reinstall if needed but i will post back after my format is complete. Thanks guy's.

    Start, All Programs, Recovery Manager.
Start clicking and see if it allows you to create a drivers disk too. My computers did.

If not, you can back out of burning the CD or DVD.

I found this in an HP forum
