driver for mp 4

Hi
I have a goodmans mp4 player that came with an installation cd for xp,i've just bought another computer that has Vista on it,the cd wont work with Vista and when i got in contact with Goodmans they said that they dont do drivers for Vista.
Does anybody have any ideas what i can do apart from buying a new player.

Welcome to Major Geeks! The first thing we need is the model number. I looked around at the Goodmans web site (if this is their web site http://www.goodmans.co.uk/default.aspx?language=en-GB) and found absolutely NO DOWNLOADS of any type other than user guides. So we may need to look elsewhere. Post the exact model number, and we'll do our best!

Well, my preliminary searches only turned up a download for Windows XP. It seems as if you are correct in saying that there are no drivers for Vista for this device, which is completely ludicrous! If the device is fairly new, I would seriously consider returning it and demanding a refund, or a replacement that is Vista compatible, or Vista software. I think if enough people complain and/or try to return their devices, the manufacturer would be forced to do something about their lack of Vista support. The fact that they don't have software for the newest operating system, but include software for a discontinued and unsupported operating system (windows 98) tells me that these folks are either out of touch, or are trying to get people to 'upgrade' (meaning buy another) their media devices, or they're just :*** idiots. I'm still looking though, but don't get your hopes up
