Driver help needed, C-Media

    Hey folks.. I am totally lost and stumbled upon this site while searching for a "fix"..

    I have been getting a display error, or full on crash..

    Now, when I look up dxdiag this is the only error i can find.

    The file CM10664.sys is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer.


    I have tried to install the updated driver from the site and, this error is still there.

    Is there a way to find what they are suggesting?

    I am resourceful but, this is escaping me.

    Any help would be awesome. thanks! :drool

    Hi and Welcome

    What is your Motherboard make and version or your PC make and version?
    What is the Version of Windows and its Service Pack you are using?

    This may help us or you gain this info
    Cannot really diagnose this without knowing hardware used, very likely its audio related.

    Hi there.. i am not sure if that attached. The photos on the instruction page showed up as broken to me for some reason.

    Hi

    What is the error or crash you are getting? just wondering if this has nothing to do with audio.

    Your motherboard/PC maker does not list virtually all drivers, so they are core installed ones from Windows.

    It tells me that a display driver has stopped working..
    So, I researched that and ran a dxdiag and the only thing that has an error is the one i posted above..

    I will take a snap..

    they should be attached.. sorry if i do not reply for a while, it's almost 6am, i need to sleep lol. thanks for helping.

    That is so weird, I did not even notice, there is another sound driver... anyway, it says the same as the first..

    I think ccleaner deleted it.
    I ran that one a little while ago.. but, I will hold on to this and if it .... when it... happens again, i will run it.
