I have recently swapped out the CPU, mobo, and vid card in my home computer. I also formatted the HD and have reinstalled windows XP home. The computer is now up and running fine with one major exception. I cannot install the drivers on the CDs that came with the mobo (no internet!) and the vid card. It keeps telling me that access is denied. It's been a couple of years since I have built a computer, is there something simple that I am forgetting? I am an admin on the computer (I checked that first) and the DVD drive must be working since I was able to install windows with no problems. I would suspect that there was something wrong with hardware or a driver CD except that I am having problems with both devices. I have also tried installing in safe mode, but same thing. Any thoughts?
