Driver needed?

I have a Kingston MicroSD Adapter that is looking for a PCMCIA MTD-0002 driver when I insert it into my HP pavilion laptop cardreader. It is unable to find this driver. I am also unable to find this driver. Help! Thanks! In Advance if you can Help..

Did a Google search.Could not find a driver, but found one site with a similar problem.
Says to check your Boot sequence in your BIOS. Card will cause this problem if it is ahead of your C drive in the order. Solution was to place the card as last in startup sequence.
Hopefully it will help you.

 

Are you sure your laptop is capable of reading micro sd cards?
What is the model of HP so I can find the specs on the card reader.
If it is older, it might just accept sd cards and not the newest hdsd cards.

 

Thanks for the reply. I have a HP Pavilion zv5000. Windows XP Home with all service packs and updates. I can read other cards that are not Micro, you may be onto something with the Micro. Thanks, Ken

No where on the pade does it mention micro sd nor hcsd cards.

Since I think your laptop is from 2004, I suspect the hardware doesn't have the ability to read the newer types of cards.
