Driver wont install

    Ok I have a Dell Dimension 4550 that I recently reformatted and now I cannot get my ethernet driver to install. I go to the download site at Dell (on another computer of course) download the driver it says I need, but it still wont install when I try to do it. Any ideas???

    Hi

    Before installing the ethernet driver install the chipset driver from here then try the ethernet driver ( reason is the chipset driver is one important one in which unless its installed other components such as ethernet, audio and USB devices on the motherboard will not be correctly ID'd thus driver will not always install )

    Ok that worked but then it had another issue that I solved and now I am gonna post another thread about something else which will be in the software section (that is if I cant find the answer myself first) (as a good geek should do before a post). Thanks for help and I'm glad to be part of majorgeeks squad.
