Drivers for Geforce FX Go 5300

    If help can be offered or explanation i would be very grateful

    As you well know Nvidia supply constant updates to there graphics drivers.

    I have a Geforce FX Go 5300, i have the driver @ version 66.93 but it wont install anything further than that version

    When ever i try to install a version higher say 71.84 it comes up with this

    The setup prgrom cannot find any drivers compatibale with the stetup program.

    Well thats the general gist of it anyway

    Anyidea how i can update my drivers at all?

    Where would you be getting those 71.84 drivers from? as normal Nvidia Forceware drivers wont install on a mobile GeForce Go, Nvidia leave mobile drivers upto the notebook manufacturers sadly, there are some 77.70 Forceware Go drivers on Guru3d but your 5300 isnt listed in the compatible cards!?!

    Have you been to your notebook makers site to find if they have an updated driver?

    This issue has been on here before on a 5200 GO and the 77.70s wouldnt install on that.

    I tried the Forceware drivers as above but no luck still says the same error,,, what do you think is the best course of action?

    Contact the notbook privider and see if they have updated drivers, sadly they are very infrequently updated.
