Drivers won't update

I played this computer game on my computer a while ago, then uninstalled. I felt like playing it again, so I installed it, but this time when I went to launch the game it said there was an issue with my driver not being up to date.

I located my VisionTek XTASY 9600 series in the device manager and selected update. It located the files and began installing them. Right as it finished installing, it says it failed that access was denied. I went to try again and there was a yellow exclamation mark next to the driver as well as the RAID controller.

Any ideas?

Try completely uninstalling your drivers for the VisionTek.

Find drivers on their website and install them manually.

I never do auto driver updates via Device Manager. Go to Add/Remove Programs and look for the drivers. First, grab the latest from website(ATI.com might have one for your version too)...then uninstall old drivers. Reboot. Install new drivers.

I'm not sure what OS you have. Go here and select Graphics Cards > Radeon 9600 Series > Correct OS.

Get the Full package with Catalyst Control Center. If that doesn't work, the very very latest is probably on ATI.com, search your cards drivers up there.
