Drivers

    I need drivers for a basic Logitech mouse and steel series game pad, I went to the web sites but I am a serious noob and don't know how to update my drivers other then through windows or max driver. Please Help!

    What Windows version and Service Pack are you using?

    and what are the model version numbers/names of these devices as they cover alot in your basic description?

    I am using windows vista service pack 2

    Mouse/M-UAE96

    I don't have the steel series on me ill message you the model number later

    Are you having specific problems with these devices, and if so, what are the symptoms? We also need to know if you're running Vista 32-bit or 64-bit (click on 'Start', right-click on 'Computer' and select 'Properties' - your system type should show up there)...

    If you're not having any problems, then I'd suggest leaving well enough alone - the generic Windows drivers, especially in later OS versions, are often sufficient for discrete devices...

    I would definatly agree, if you are having no issues then leave alone, the likes of these driver updater application can cause more problems than enough if you are using one of them like "driver max" as they cannot completly know all drivers, they list generic ones and those can cause issues, the ones that are installed via Windows Update or via the OEM are fine.
