Hi,first time on here, recently done a clean install on packard bell computer for a neighbour, driver scan said its an imedia 5070?but cant verify that. I installed xp professional & downloaded sp3,device manager has said i need sm bus controller-video controller (vga compatible)and multimedia audio controller. as these had yellow exclamation marks next to them, don't know if this will make sense as im a newbie at all this but motherboard had ms-7168 ver1c? tried packard bell website & just about everywhere i could think of over weekend but stiil no joy. Thanks in advance ;)

    Greetings, rifraf...

Just to add: I found this link to old Packard Bell iMedia files - don't know if any of these will apply, but I thought I'd post the link in case it was needed (and before I lost the location)...

Hi,I downloaded the link ftp://ftp.download.packardbell.com/DESKTOP/ then clicked on imedia chipset(first two are the same for windows xp) third one is for vista. this solved two of the problems, then googled ATI catalyst software fromhttp://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Legacy/Pages/radeonaiw_xp.aspx clicked on xpress 4th from bottom? installed the software, then went to control panel and removed the programs it had installed, with option to Keep drivers (it says recommended) .and that was it all fixed. I only removed the software as my neighbour only wanted the absolute minimium left on pc.but you could keep it installed if you like.sorry not sure how to make the links live. Good luck ;)
