Drop in perfowance with OCZ Vector SSD 128GB After only a few weeks

Hi,
I recently upgraded to an OCZ Vector 128 gb and initially had stellar performance which was measurable with AS SSD Benchmarking and also by the rapid production of full disk images written to an external drive.
Then I noticed things were not quite so snappy with a decrease in performance of about one third. This was reflected in both the AS SSD measurements and my own observation of backup times, also apps don't open quite so instantaneously as they did.
Not much had changed in terms of the amount of data on the drive,perhaps a Gb or two, and I can only think that I may have damaged the drive by running too many benchmarks.
I have done a secure erase using Parted magic but with no great success in terms of restoring the out of the box speed.I wonder if anyone has any ideas.

Check the OCZ website to see if there is a firmware upgrade available (if so, be sure to clone or backup the drive first before installing it).

If that doesn't work, the drive may be failing. In this case, I'd contact OCZ for a warranty replacement.
