With the Dropbox link located at http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/dropbox.html, I can't seem to download more than 25%. It tells me there is a server error. This has been happening the last 4 or 5 releases for Dropbox. Am I the only one??? BTW, this is for Windows.

I'm on a Windows 8.1 machine. Other software downloads from here fine.

I just tried the link you posted using Win Vista, Firefox 27 and IDM (registered version) and had no problems. It's probably a proxy setting with the browser you're using. Try using no proxy.

Weird! This is on the guest WiFi at a hotel, but if there is a Proxy, I'm unaware of it, and I work here. Is there some simple way to find out? Nobody here would know, they all turn to me for computer problems...

Which browser are you using? IE, Firefox, Chrome? Some sites don't work well with proxy connections and require a direct connection to the internet. I use Firefox 27 as I stated and I go to Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Network -> Settings and select No proxy (see att'd).

Similar can be done in other browsers but I'm not familiar with how.

Very interesting. So it looks like I do not have a proxy. I do use Firefox v27.0.1. I'm now suspecting one of my add-ons in Firefox (perhaps Downloadthemall!) Usually that one is very well behaved, though. The download works fine in IE. I'm going to play around disabling add-ons one at a time and see if the issue goes away. Thanks for the help...

    HI

If I'm remembering correctly, not all download managers work ok with the downloads off Majorgeeks, its the resume side offhand that the Majorgeeks servers don't accept, so if your download is interrupted for a second then the download will halt at that point.

So with IE working ok, I would assume its Fx and Downloadthemall addon, download without the addon in Fx and see if it works.
