   Hi a long standing problem with Advent running Vista,
   Logging on I get an annoying blue oblong centre screen
   with icons for volume brightness etc. Can not delete it
   but somrtimes if I Switch User (yet I am the only one!)
   it dissapears. It seems to relate to the menu buttons
   on right side of the machine which do not work "

   Advent as well as many other OEMs like DELL, HP etc ad all sorts of helpful control panels an some folk don't like, to get to the bottom of yours can you follow the below as it will give is a list of your startup applications and that could link to the one to disable.
