DSB.exe

DSB.exe! Hi there. I have what i think is AdWare on my computer. Its called 'dsb.exe'.

It runs when i open Internet Explorer and it seems to pull through POP UPS on to my machine.

I have run some searches to find out what it is.

Symnatec's web site (the people behind NORTON) say that i should run Norton Antivirus (which i don't have) in safe mode and delete any AdWare files. Then i need to delete the program file followed by BACKING UP the registry before removing the KEY entry.

I'm not experienced in this area but i have a friend who can train me to do the above.

However i would rather know what it is first and how it got there before i kill it.

Any clues?

Definitely use RegClean (available for download here on MG) to remove the registry keys and to back them up. Its a very easy program to use, and all you do is select the program you want to remove and it removes that programs registry keys. Also, use ad-aware 6 for removing the program it self. Both these programs are available for download here on MG. Just go find them.

yes that sounds like you need to pay a visit to www.windowsupdate.com to get rid of that virus or w/e you have
