I have windstream dsl and a dlink di-524 wireless router. i cannot get the internet to come through the router. the modem is a speedstream 4200. i had found an article on how to set up the modem in bridge mode but with no success.

Have you tried their Broadband Tech Support? phone: 888-292-3827 You may need to change a setting in your router, but they should be able to tell, in general, I would think, whether your router should be set for PPPoE or DHCP. And, if you need to "bridge" your modem, they should be able to help you with that.

the last time i called tech support they suggested i call dlink. figures, right. I didnt ask them about setting up the modem in bridge.

would having the modem bridged solve my problem. i am used to just plugging in the cable modem and it working. id go back to cable but Comcast sucks.
