DSL Filters and Qwest

Does anyone know if the filters Qwest sends you are 2 line filters?

I'm hoping they are; because 2 line filters are somewhat hard to come by around here.

whichever is cheaper for qwest will probably be what you get

Phone Jack

Splitter

fax machine

dsl modem

2 line phone
------------


jack 1 on splitter- DSL Modem.

jack 2 on splitter -fax

jack 1/2 on splitter -2 line phone.

Thats why I need the 2 line filter.

My Qwest set up came with three singles and one double. There was a handy order form included with the router for extra filters, at 3-5 dollars a copy.

If Qwest doesn't give you what you need, DSL filters are available at Radio Shack. Might even be cheaper than ordering from Qwest.

 

Filter is 13 bucks plus tax through Radio Shack. Somehow I dont think its cheaper

Only 1 or 2 stores in town have it, and the travel time sucks.

On top of that, they keep trying to sell me a stupid 2 line filter for cb radio interference and crap like that and telling me its for DSL whenever I go into a store and see if they have it.

Even when I give them the correct catalog number.

Doesn't speak well for the average intgelligence of the Radio Shack employee.
