DSL Speed Question

I have just purchased SBC Yahoo! DSL. I live in Owasso, Oklahoma, USA. I was given only one choice when selecting a service, which was the 384k down/128k up speed service. Obviously, this is the one I ordered. I am curious exactly how fast this connection should go, since I am currently getting only around 20k when I download a file. BTW, here is the report I just got from DSL Reports:

How far are you from your source?

 

I don't know, do you know how I can figure that out? I do know, however, that a new DSL hub thing is getting put in extremely close to my house September 1st.

 

I just tested my connection again, and now I'm getting 40k downloads! The DSL Report:

A 32.7 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 100626 bps, or 98 kbps.

 

The DSL ppl say that my connection should go up for about a week. So I guess they were right. At this rate, my connection will actually be useful by the time a week is up.
