DSP True Speech for Yahoo Voice Not in Registry

I know that I used to have no problems with yahoo chat when suddenly a few weeks ago this error appeared as I logged in:

"Voice not available...ACM not found" or something like that.

So I looked into it, got all kinds of info about the DSP True Speech Audio compression (otherwise known to windows as tssoft32.acm) being included with windows, how to find it, or where it should be...and how to enable it fromt he control panel in case it wasn't. I even found info on how to install it from the windows disk. (I have No disk).

However, I did discover that I do have the tssoft32.acm file in my computer, and it is located in the system32 folder where everything I have read shows it should be. The only thing that I really need to do is create a registry setting/entry for it, so that it shows up in my list of available audio codecs.

Now that part I dont know how to do. Does anyone know how to do this. I know how to get to regedit, Im just not sure where im supposed to add, or what exactly to add.

I am running Windows XP home, on a Dell Intel Celeron 1.7 ghz.

Found an easier way!

Turns out I uninstalled AceMega Codec pack sometime ago...because DSP Truespeech is included with the pack, it uninstalled that too.

I just did a reinstall of ACE in which i specified what codec i wanted.

Yahoo voice is now working, just long enough for me to turn off those annoying voices, but at least now I can sleep knowing that there is one less thing wrong with my puter.
