    Do I really need s939? Would dual channel memory give me such a great boost for the money spent?

    dual channel memory definetly provides a noticeable boost. if you CAN afford, go 939--for the sake of upgradeability also (assuming you buy a PCI-E board)


    it's really up to you if its worth it, as a socket 754 AMD 64 is still a great move. just keep in mind, socket 754 is going to be AMD's budget line of CPU's and 939 is going to continue being the prize winner
